Vote for your New San Mateo County CAA Board Representative
The San Mateo County Community Action Agency Board (CAA Board) is currently holding an election for a low-income representative for the CAA Board. The CAA Board oversees the use of Community Services Block Grant (CSBG). This grant is currently used to provide financial assistance to residents of the County for preventing and ending homelessness. The CAA Board’s role involves meeting quarterly to review reports on services provided with CSBG funds and discuss related subjects. Board members are expected to attend quarterly meetings and vote on Board decisions. Board members serve as volunteers with no compensation.
The CAA Board’s low-income representatives are expected to have knowledge of and interest in the community and its low-income population. Nominations for the vacant low-income representative position were accepted between June 11, 2025, to July 25, 2025. The two qualified candidates are included on the ballot.
