PRC matches families we serve with Holiday Helpers,
individuals and/or organizations, who are willing to purchase
gifts and gift cards to help create a more joyful holiday season.

By connecting our families with those who wish to give,
PRC ensures that the holiday season becomes a time of
giving, joy, and hope during the holidays.

A Guide For Pacifica Families Needing Support for the Holidays*

Do you need help this holiday season? Then, we may be able to help!

Enrollment in these programs is first come, first served, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible.

  • Your child(ren) must be 17 or under to participate.

  • Each child in the program must write their own personal letter to our sponsors sharing their interests, hobbies, and what they would like for the holidays.

  • Each child in the program must write &/or draw their own thank you letter after the holidays to your sponsors. Disabled children or children younger than 6 years old can dictate their letters to you.

A Guide for Interested Family Sponsors

Your support helps make the season brighter for families in our community.

How does it work?

  • PRC families register for the Holiday Joy Program and submit one holiday wish letter from each child and one gift the whole family.

  • Sponsors (You) use these letters to guide gift purchases and bring the wrapped gifts to our office after Thanksgiving but before December 11.

  • When the PRC family picks up their gifts, they write you an immediate, general thank you note. Please let us know if you would like a more detailed thank you letter after the holidays as this letter is now optional for families in an effort to make it easier for families to get support during the holidays.

What is your commitment?

  • Plan to spend a dollar value of at least $125.00 per child, $50 for a family gift, and $75 for a grocery store gift card

How do you sign up?

  • Please call or email the Pacifica Resource Center when you decide what size family you would like to sponsor and we will match you ASAP! Family enrollment begins in October but we anticipate a slight time lag between your request and your match. Our goal is to give you the details about your PRC family during Thanksgiving.
