Our volunteers are vital to our mission. This year we honored Anson Chan, Dennis Woo, Monica Nolan, and Rotary Club of Pacifica.
At the event, certificates of appreciation were graciously presented
by our district government representatives in honor of their service.
We'd also like to send a special shout out to American Legion Hall,
El Sabroson De La Linea 2, and Mazzetti’s Bakery for
hosting our event and catering our delicious food and cake.

PRC Mother's Day AND Father's Day Cards!

and make a real difference in our community!
Pacifica Resource Center helps mothers and fathers and their children with groceries, housing support and other critical services.
For a gift of $50, we will send a personalized Mother’s Day card in May, or Father’s Day card in June, featuring artwork lovingly created by Pacifica artist Gail Benjamin to your mom, dad, or anyone you choose!
To ensure delivery of your card by Mother’s Day, please make your gift by Thursday, May 1, 2025.

We depend on volunteers to achieve our mission of helping stabilize Pacifica families and individuals by providing a safety net of food, housing assistance, and other critical services.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with PRC!
Each year, more than 500 dedicated volunteers join our efforts, playing a vital role in helping us fulfill our mission. Volunteers dedicate their time, energy, and commitment to help sustain and grow our programs, allowing us to continue making a meaningful impact in the community we serve.
PRC offers both one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups, including the ones listed below.
Board Member / Committee Member: Join our Board to provide leadership and guidance
Earn It Keep It Save It (Free Tax Services): Greet clients and assist with tax preparation
Grocery: Assist with organizing the pantry and supporting food drives
Pacifica Gardens (PG): Help grow fruits and vegetables for PRC’s pantry
Pacifica Sanchez Library Garden: Help grow fruits and vegetables for PRC’s pantry
Seasonal: Help with school supply drives and recruit donors for the Holiday Joy program
Special Events: Assist with event setup, guest support, and logistics
Note that most regular volunteer opportunities occur during standard business hours Monday through Friday with limited evening and weekend options.

Emergency Financial Assistance
Because of the high cost of living in Pacifica and the Bay Area, many of us are struggling to pay our rent, mortgage, and other household bills. PRC can help.
ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
If you get behind on your rent or mortgage, we may be able to provide a grant to help cover past due rent or mortgage payments and keep you in your home. If you're moving, even outside of the Pacifica are, we may be able to assist with security deposits. Average grants are $2,500.
If you're behind on utility bills, PRC can help connect you to programs for one-time payments for bills such as PG&E, Recology, and water.
And, if we don’t provide the resources in house, we will provide referrals for services.

All PRC services are confidential and start with a thorough needs assessment. We will work together to assess your current situation and identify what you need to achieve your goals and build greater stability.

Did you know that once a month PRC hosts a Vet Clinic to care for our clients' furry companions? Clients can schedule appointments to bring in their cats or dogs for check-ups and vaccinations at no cost.
If a pet requires specialized care, the Rockaway Ricky Memorial Fund provides essential resources to support the pets of Pacificans in need.
Please note that we happily accept donations of new, unopened, and unexpired cat or dog food to ensure that all pets that are in need within our community receive the compassionate care that they deserve—because #TogetherWeArePRC.

All tax services, including e-filing, are provided at no cost by tax preparers trained on tax law and certified by the IRS.
Did you know? You may qualify for more than $6,000 in refunds from the California and Federal Earned Income Tax Credits.
The amount of the cash-back tax credit depends on income and family size. To qualify for at least one of the two cash-back credits, your wages need to be less than $54,000.
Bring the following once you have scheduled your tax appointment:
Photo ID and Social Security Card or ITIN for each person on your tax return
W-2 for all jobs
All 1099s, 1098s and any other tax forms
Last year's tax return
Savings and checking account and routing numbers for direct deposit
