Back-to-school season is already underway, and for many Pacifica families, it's one of the most stressful times of the year.

According to the National Retail Federation, families with K–12 students plan to spend an average of $858 on back-to-school items this year. Half of all back-to-school families are shopping earlier than ever out of fear that prices will rise due to tariffs and inflation.

That's where PRC can help. Each year, Pacifica Resource Center provides backpacks and gift cards for school supplies directly to families in our community who need them most. K–2 students receive a backpack and a school-supply gift card. Students in grades 3–12 receive a gift card to get whatever they need for school.

Last year, we served 216 youth through our Back-to-School campaign, and distributed the equivalent of $15,120 in backpacks and gift cards for school supplies.

With your help, we can help more Pacifica youth get ready for the new school year!
