PRC Support for Domestic Violence & Breast Cancer

October is both Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Whatever you're facing, if you're a Pacifica resident, PRC is here to help you find safety and stability.

If you're experiencing an abusive situation:

Leaving takes courage, and you shouldn't have to do it by yourself. We can support with:

  • A safety plan: We'll work with you to make a plan for leaving safely.

  • Relocation services: We can refer you to CORA (Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse) for shelter and relocation support. We may also be able to help with gas cards, a security deposit and first month's rent, groceries, and moving furniture to help you settle into a new home.

If you're facing breast cancer:

A serious diagnosis brings enough stress without worrying about how to afford what you need to get or stay healthy. Through emergency financial assistance funds, we may be able to help with medical equipment and/or dental equipment.

And if we don't have the right resource in house, we'll connect you with someone who does.

How PRC services work: We serve residents of Pacifica. If you don’t live in Pacifica, we can refer you to a sister agencies that serves your San Mateo County city or town that provides similar services. Every PRC service is confidential and starts with a friendly, no-pressure needs assessment. We'll sit down together, look at your situation, and figure out what will help you build greater stability.

Ready to start? Call us for a confidential assessment at (650) 738-7470, or fill out our quick and secure eligibility form. These programs serve residents of Pacifica. We're here for you.
